The David L. Boren Student Union is pleased to provide a range of benefits to RSOs. Facility fees are waived exclusively for student organizations, which also receive a discount from University Catering. Each year, hundreds of weekly, monthly or special events take place for a wide range of student groups – for free. In addition, RSO leadership may request space 24/7 through Web EMS.

The David L. Boren Student Union utilizes Event Management Systems (EMS) to provide the user 24-hour online access to make reservations.  If you are a first time user, please click the "Account Request" button to get started.  For returning users, please logon to EMS by clicking "Account Login".   

          

Benefits

The first step to requesting free rooms in the DLB Student Union is requesting a Web EMS account, which allows for 24/7 room requests via union.ouhsc.edu/reserve. To receive access, email the following information to union@ouhsc.edu:

  • Student Name and RSO Position (President, Fundraising Chair, etc.)
  • Contact Phone Number
  • Name of RSO

All organizations must first be registered with the Campus Life & Community Office. Register your student group and find out more about RSOs at the Student Organization Website here.

Reserving space for student events is exclusive to student-led events. Faculty and staff, including RSO advisors, may not be the primary contact for RSO events. University departments interested in hosting an event for students may email union@ouhsc.edu or call (405) 271-3606 for booking information and availability.

Usage Agreement and Policies

All groups reserving space in the David L. Boren Student Union must agree to its Facilities Use Policy. For student organizations, this policy is available and accepted when booking through Web EMS. However, it is important to note that additional process and follow up are required. Please see below and, when in doubt, contact the David L. Boren Student Union at union@ouhsc.edu or (405) 271-3606.

Student groups are responsible for the setup of their events. A member of the DLBSU staff may assist you regarding technology setup and best practices on event layouts.

!!Depending on the scope and needs of the event, additional paperwork or approval may be required. For events where alcohol or minors are anticipated, or if an extensive or special setup may be required, it is essential to begin preparing early. Please see below for essential paperwork. Contact the DLBSU for any questions you may have.
