Facility Rental and Policies

The Coordinator of Operations for the David L. Boren Student Union is happy to work with those hosting events ensure their smooth execution. This includes discussing the most appropriate layouts for an event, potential technology and room features, and other opportunities to make the event a success

Non-University and University Reservation Requests

With many trainings, conferences, and special events held each year for departments all across campus, the David L. Boren Student Union accomodates both University and non-university groups, and provides a substantial discount to the latter. The DLBSU provides on-site support, general technology equipment, and parking validation at no cost to its guests.

Facility Space

We are happy to offer a wide range of facilities for any kind of event, including small boardroom style spaces and large conference areas that seat hundreds. Usage Agreement and Policies

All groups reserving space in the David L. Boren Student Union must agree to its Facilities Use Policy.

Depending on the scope and needs of the event, additional paperwork or approval may be required. For events where alcohol or minors are anticipated, or if an extensive or special setup may be required, it is essential to begin preparing early. Please see below for essential paperwork. Contact the DLBSU for any questions you may have.

Currently, the scope of events permitted by non-university groups are exclusive to academic or training purposes (no weddings, showers, etc.).

Rates and Fees

The David L. Boren Student Union is pleased to offer a competitive rate for facility rental. Click to view our Facility Rates for a summary on room fees.

Events taking place outside standard DLBSU operating hours, if approved, may incur a $50/hour personnel fee. The facility and tenant offices are closed on all observed campus holidays. This calendar is available here.

Technology

All essential technology to ensure a successful event is not only available, but comes at no cost and includes on-site support.

Conference systems include Windows 7 desktops with Microsoft Office. Written permission prior to an event is required for any application downloads to conference room computers.

Guests are encouraged to test their portable data to ensure all presentations, videos, etc. work properly when not on their native system. WiFi is available in all rooms, but high-speed service is not guaranteed.

Catering Policy

University Catering has right of first refusal in the DLB Student Union. Explicit permission to utilize outside catering, or any food and beverage (including potlucks), is required prior to the beginning of the event.
