Will Douglas: In undergrad I was really involved, and one of my biggest concerns with coming to the Health Sciences Center was that I wouldn't have as many involvement opportunities. That has not been the case. There has been a number of different events and organizations that I've had the opportunity to be a part of, and I would have to say that that has been by far my best experience here at the Health Sciences Center.
Erin Jackson: Yeah I've had the chance to get involved here on campus and meet so many great people who have all been instrumental in me doing well and succeeding here at the Health Sciences Center.
Munim Deen: Some of the things that I've had a chance to participate in here through the College of Medicine are all different kinds of interest groups for medical specialties. We get to hear from professional doctors from these different specialties and to know what it's like day in and day out.
Jessica Elliott: One of my favorite involvement opportunities has been my participation in the Health Sciences Center Crimson Club. We get all sorts of opportunities to meet cool people that come to campus, dine with the provosts.
Munim Deen: We're ambassadors of this campus to people that might come to visit, to dignitaries, and it brings together people from all the different colleges.
Will Douglas: Being a senator from the College of Pharmacy, I've had the opportunity to work with a number of different senators from different colleges around campus. Being in Senate gives us the opportunity to respond to the student voice, to assess their needs, and improve the overall student experience here on the campus.
Courtney Long: I've participated in the Student Leadership Retreat and the Student Senate and the Graduate Student Association, and the reason I like to participate in those activities is because I like to help the student body. The students work so hard for so long, and I like to do anything I can to help improve their time here at OUHSC.
Munim Deen: We are right in the middle of Oklahoma City. We really have everything you might hope for in a, in a large city, but without the hassle, without the traffic and anything like that. Anything you might be looking for, it's here.
Erin Jackson: I think that everybody here is all out to help each other, but everybody is involved, and I have enjoyed every experience that I've had here at the Health Sciences Center.
Stephanie Reel: The people in my class are great. They are here to learn, they are here to become the best practitioners that they can be, but also they help me enjoy life, they help me appreciate the other aspects involved in being a practitioner other than just studying.
Erin Jackson: Everyone is like family to me, and there's so many chances for me to get involved and to make a difference here on my campus, as well as to leave behind a legacy that I would like for all to see.
