This fall, HSC Big Event will be partnering with various organizations for a day of service on Saturday, October 28th. Volunteers should gather at the HSC Student Union, 1st floor at 8 AM to kickstart the day with breakfast and an opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers before embarking on their service activities.
Explore Our Diverse Jobsites
Here's a glimpse of the exciting jobsites available this year:
- Manos Juntas - Find and remove duplicate patient files, assist with triage, help in the pharmacy, and assist with admitting patients during Saturday clinic.
- City Rescue Mission - Assist with preparing a meal and serving individuals in our community experiencing homelessness.
- Habitat for Humanity - Assisting with painting, building, cleaning, or anything else that may need to be completed at an OKC Habitat build site.
- OKC Beautiful - Clean-up at Dolese Youth Park.
- Myriad Botanical Gardens - Horticulture duties.
- Kids Korral - Assist with cleaning around the facility.
- OKC Ballet - Chance to dance - Assist with moving bars and chairs before and after the session, as well as demonstrating inclusive dance techniques to individuals with varying levels of physical and developmental abilities ages 7 and up. All dance activities will be performed with the guidance of an instructor.
- HOPE Center - Receiving donations, sorting through clothing, and loading bags of clothes onto the transport truck.
- OKC Animal Welfare - Walking the dogs, giving the dogs baths, crafting new cat toys, and cleaning around the shelter.
