Welcome to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center!
As the Coordinator of Multicultural Student Services, I am here to assist with your transition to our campus community. Along with representatives from our International Student Organization, we hope to make your time at the University of Oklahoma successful both personally and academically. With your permission, I will send your name, e-mail and mailing address to other International Students studying here at the Health Sciences Center, and you can begin communicating with them prior to your arrival. Please e-mail me your information at the e-mail address below.
We would enjoy having you as a part of the Cousins program and the International Student Organization. When you arrive to Oklahoma City, I can help you to attend these meetings and functions during the school year. We hope both of these programs will offer you opportunities to meet other students, faculty, and staff on campus.
In some cases, students choose to live together to minimize living expenses. It is up to the individual student to make living and roommate arrangements. The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center does not provide dormitory housing on campus. Campus apartments are available based on availability at University Village (http://students.ouhsc.edu/StudentServices/UniversityVillageApartments.aspx). If you are not able to find a place at University Village, you might look into looking online at an apartment locater website in the Oklahoma City area. Cost of education and living information can be found at this web address http://www.ouhsc.edu/financialservices/SFA/CostofLivingIncrease.asp. In order for your move to go well, we recommend you arriving to Oklahoma City a week before classes begin in order to attend orientations, establish your home, and prepare for the upcoming school year. Please know we are here to help you and make your time here the very best.
