As we step into a new year, we have an incredible opportunity to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in the 2025 OKC Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade, as well as a corresponding health fair. This annual event is a powerful reminder of Dr. King’s vision and values that are at the heart of OU's mission and culture.
The MLK Day Parade, held on Monday, Jan. 20th , 2025, will bring together our community to celebrate the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. It’s a chance for us to reflect on our commitment to building an organizational culture where everyone feels valued, sees themselves in organizational decisions, is respected, and can be their authentic selves.
The corresponding health fair will be held at Creston Hills Church of Christ two days before the parade, on Jan. 18. The event will feature services including head & neck checks, prostate & colorectal exams, general health, and more.
Why We Participate
Dr. King was relentless in his quest of supporting all communities and his legacy is one that continues to inspire our work, both inside and outside of the University.
