Emotional Wellness

The emotional dimension recognizes awareness and acceptance of one’s feelings. Emotional wellness includes the degree to which one feels positive and enthusiastic about one’s self and life. It includes the capacity to manage one’s feelings and related behaviors including the realistic assessment of one’s limitations, development of autonomy, and ability to cope effectively with stress.

Every wednesday a therapy dog will be available on the first floor of the student union for pets and love! The spiritual dimension acknowledges the importance of having a sense of meaning. Often meaning or a sense of purpose is found in one’s values which may be informed by their family systems, religions, philosophies, and more. Understanding one’s values and reflecting on whether one is living in accordance to their values is a ---- spiritual wellness.
