The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is thrilled to invite you to the upcoming Oklahoma Cell Biology Symposium on November 13-14th 2025, at Nicholson Tower in Oklahoma City. Our research symposium is a fantastic opportunity to foster and showcase the vibrant research happening across Oklahoma.
Whether you're a trainee, just starting your career, or a well-established investigator, there’s something for everyone. We have special events including career panels, interactive breakout sessions, poster sessions, oral presentations, and insightful talks from guest speakers across Oklahoma.
The theme of the symposium is “Advancing Cell Biology Research and Careers: from cell mechanisms to human disease, from undergraduate to faculty”. We will have scientific subthemes that focus on genomics/epigenomics, compartmentalization biology, cell state transitions, and signaling at the organ scale.
Our featured keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Cigall Kadoch, PhD, from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. This is an excellent opportunity for students—both graduate and undergraduate—to network with our scientists and get advice on career opportunities and academic programs.
All trainees are invited to attend and encouraged to present their research in either an oral or poster presentation. While presenting is not required to attend, the best presentations will be recognized with awards!
If you are interested in attending or presenting, please be sure to complete the registration form and submit an abstract using the same form by October 3rd, 2025. Presentation slots are first-come first-serve.
Stay tuned to the Cell Biology Symposium Page for updates on schedules and more information as we get closer to the symposium. For any questions or concerns, please reach out to cheryl-walk@ouhsc.edu or megan-olsson@ouhsc.edu.
